2024 TN Chapter NATP Annual Conference

Thursday, August 1st, 2024 and Friday, August 2nd, 2024

Save the Dates! The TN Chapter Annual Conference will be held at the Murfreesboro Airport Business Center located at 1930 Memorial Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Our speakers will be Melinda Gavin and AJ Reynolds. 14 hours of continuing education credits along with 2 hours of ethics will be offered.


2023 TN Chapter NATP Annual Conference

This year we are thrilled to have AJ Reynolds, EA who has immense experience in all areas in taxation which encompasses over 30 years. His practice centers on individual, business, and estate tax preparation. In addition, AJ specializes in IRS audits, appeals, collections, innocent spouse, independent contractor vs. employee issues and civil tax fraud representations.

AJ’s clientele ranges from the average worker to Fortune 500 executives. AJ brings his everyday “in the trenches” experience to the seminars to assist attendees with real issues facing tax professionals. AJ started his tax career with a national CPA firm in San Diego, CA after proudly serving five years in the United States Navy.

This year we are thrilled to have Genaro Cardaropoli, CPA. Genaro has over 9 years experience in public accounting in both large and small firm settings. Genaro currently owns his own practice where he grew his own clientele and also purchased a book of business. He offers accounting, tax and consulting services in Appleton, WI.

Genaro used to work as a Lead Tax Specialist for almost five years at the National Association of Tax Professionals and prior to that, as a Senior Tax Associate at Grant Thornton, where he began his public accounting career, oversaw and reviewed the engagement of a large company with business in all 50 states of the U.S.

Genaro will cover the following topics:

  • Tax Update – with expired provisions after 2021 and RMD’s.
  • Ethics
  • Schedule E – Mixed use Rental Properties, with and how Airbnb’s are affected.
  • Form 4797 – with 1250 gains and 1231 losses, including the sale of business assets and the disposition of an S Corporation or Partnership interest.
  • Business Startups and Closures – ways to reduce seller tax from the sale and practical constraints Ethics including circular 230 and Form 8867.
